İnkaya Cave;In the Izmir district the cave is located on the east side of Kocadağ that is west of the village of Yelki and use of a 4×4 vehicle or tractor is needed to reach the area of cave and then there is a walk of 20 minutes on a steep slope with dense shrub. The cave is 222m long and its deepest point 30m, its part horizontal and part vertical and dry.
Temperatures in the main chamber average 18˚C rising to 22˚C at the end section. Potteries found in the cave indicate there have been settlements from many different periods. After a deep decent the cave opens into a wide saloon with a width of 20m and ceiling height of 5m and passages on the edge of the saloon open into small rooms. Continuing from the saloon south through an inclined gallery floor there is a shaft of 7m going down to the lowest section of the cave.
